Introduction

• Palliative Medicine is concerned with the care of seriously ill and dying patients in our hospitals and communities.
• The purpose of this survey is to explore how programs are meeting the educational needs of their residents and supporting patients and families in palliative medicine
• Survey was disseminated on March 11, 2009 via SurveyMonkey.com to the 34-member CHERN Survey Group
• 24/34 responses (71%) were obtained
  • from 11 states
